Tha Hogle Zoo and Park City too!!

On Saturday Graysen and I got ready and picked up Kimberly for a day of fun! We started off by going to the Hogle Zoo. I have a yearlong zoo pass so Graysen and I go for free whenever we want! I got an e-mail from the zoo recently telling us all about their new baby animals. They have a giraffe, elephant, 3 tiger cups, and some others that I forgot! It's not very often that you get to see that many baby animals at a trip to the zoo! Here is my favorite baby giraffe. We went back a few times throughout the day to see if it would stand up, but it was content just sitting down watchin it's momma. The baby elephant is still gettin used to life, so they don't have her out on display yet. I was sad about that. And the tiger cubs were there, just their mamma had them hidden. Their Dad walked right by the glass though and that was a little scary! I didn't realize how huge tigers are! I was glad that Kimberly came along with us. She is such a huge help with Graysen! After the zoo we headed up to Park City to do some shopping! Graysen was such a good boy the entire day, and he didn't have any accidents!! Have I mentioned he is potty trained now!! Super exciting!! I love feeling like a kid again and I especially love when other Mom's look at me like I am twelve and have my little brother in tow instead of my son! Here is an amazing video of Kimberly, Graysen, and I having a fun day in Park City. Thank you to the snotty Mom who looked at me like I was a terrible parent for doing this while she was video taping us!

Fishing with the Johnsons!

William came home from dental school at USC in California and a bunch of us went fishing and camping! We had a blast and spent all morning Saturday morning out on his Dad's boat! Lets just say I am a pretty good fisherwoman! I caught 10 fish...or something like that! I was lucky though, not only did I catch that many fish, I didn't ever touch a worm, hook, fish, or anything of the sort! You see William's Dad James came along with us and touched all of those nasty things for me! I got a year long fishing pass so we are going to go more often! Here are some pictures of our adventure! Lisa, William, Brent, James, Candice, Chris, and I all went. We even got to camp right next to a boyscout camp!! The sad part is I think we were louder than the boyscouts at night!!!

WE GOT A PHONE CALL!!!

I woke up this morning to a very familiar voice, and one that I have missed dearly! Bry got to call and talk for one minute and 32 seconds! It was the best minute and a half that I have had in the last two weeks! Just to hear his voice was comforting and to know he was doing okay is wonderful. He still needs lots of prayers! I get to fly out and see him at graduation at Ft. Knox sometime in October. We are hoping the Army will let us know soon what day so we can book flights! That was my joy of the day! I also spent this evening with Bryan't parents, sister Sara, and some of his extended family! It was great to be around wonderful people!! They are a great family!!!Here is a picture of Graysen, Bryant, and I at the hotel before he left to Basic Training!

Our wonderful life!!

Gray and I have been having a great time these past few weeks and since I now have a blog, and I want there to be something to document everything that we do so that when Bry gets back he can know what has gone on in our lives the last 6 months! I have been taking my camera and extra batteries everywhere! Here are a few fun things we have done lately!I was asked by a friend to model at Jordan Landing for Aeropostale! Here is Mike, Melissa and I in our outfits! There is also an awesome video!! Thanks Jake and Goobie for coming and watching Graysen and taking the pictures and video!

We have also spent quite a bit of time at the Johnson's house. They are getting new carpet and Jeanette wanted the stairs restained before the carpet came. This has been a much bigger project than we ever imagined! We would sand, then stain, then not like it, then sand some more! It has been a pain, but it's also been nice to have help with Graysen and be able to spend time with them! I love that family!!
While at the Johnsons Graysen has learned to gut fish! He loved it and also helped hose the cooler out afterwards! Thanks James for teaching him!!

Our first blog!

Our first blog!! I figured since we are so far away from our family, and there is always so much going on in our lives that I would start a blog! Life is crazy here in West Jordan. We have a little apartment close to my office, and keep ourselves pretty busy! Graysen loves going to Charlee's for daycare everyday, and I work for a jewelry manufacturer where we make titanium and tungsten wedding bands! I love my job and love the people that I get to work with! I do sales for the western half of the US which is a pretty daunting task! After work Graysen and I usually go show properties for Real Estate. I have had my license about two years now and have been pretty busy with it the last six months! We stay busy and are keeping out of trouble for the most part! Graysen is almost 3 (In October) and is full of it! He keeps me on my toes and is so much fun! I love that kid!! There is also a new boy in our lives! His name is Bryant and we just shipped him off to Basic Training for the Army National Guard last Monday. We miss him dearly, but know he will be back soon enough!
